Rachael was a brilliant student of mine back in 2015 when she was doing her M.Sc. in Trinity. She was dedicated to her work and subsequently wrote in the Garda Review when I was its Editor. Leaving aside the fact that she was excellent at what she did, she came across as a truly lovely person.

I was genuinely shocked to hear of her passing at such a young age and I can only extend, what I know will be wholly inadequate condolences to Rachael's parents and family at this terrible time. Please know what an impression she made on those she met. She will not be forgotten.
