We were very sorry to hear of the passing of our friend, neighbour & doctor for many years. Tom was a kind man & so caring to all his patients. Our sincere condolences to Mary & all the family. May he Rest in Peace. Barney, Rita, Niamh & Michelle - Raheny Road & Howth Road
So very saddened to hear of Doctor Toms passing, my family and I have had the pleasure of him being our family doctor for decades. A once in a lifetime family doctor who never forgot first names and faces and always asked as to how everyone was doing. His jovial nature always put you at ease I honestly believe that if you had never paid for his consultation it would never have bothered him at all as he just seemed perfectly happy to see that you were well. It is something that he has also passed on to his wife and siblings. Ar dheis dei go raibh a ainm. The Sutton family. The Donaghies
I am so sad to hear of Dr. Tom's passing. I, and originally my oarents, had been a patient of his since he started practice in Santry many moons ago, and have followed him through since with my family to Raheny and finally to the current centre at Clannad. Even after the fire in Raheny, he could remember details of my past history which even I had forgotten. Are dheis De go raibh a anam.

I met Tom when I, an American on holiday, playing golf alone at Lahinch golf links many years ago. I had played in the morning with my father-in-law and his friends and went out for a second round and came upon Tom and his doctor friends. They invited me to join them, we played along, and closed the bar with good cheer.

That began a lifetime transoceanic friendship including a couple more visits to Dublin for golf with Tom and his buddies.

On one trip to Dublin, Tom met me at the airport and brought me home to meet Mary, the children, his mother and Mary’s father and enjoy a sumptuous feast.

My wife and I sponsored several of Mary and Tom’s children when they came to the States for summer programs.

We corresponded and had occasional telephone conversations, always supportive and good craic.

I will always treasure Tom’s support and good cheer.
To Bill & extended Coghlan family, condolences on the passing of your much loved dad Dr Tom, May your fond memories of him help you in the months ahead

Always with great kindness and a guiding hand. Always ensuring that we were involved in the events ongoing. That along with his huge personality and great beaming smile and infectious laugh. He was a pleasure to be around and it was an honour to be a member of the same Profession.
