A Chairde,

What a profound shock and sense of loss to all of us over here at his premature passing.
He was one of our most formidable members of the world’s most noble profession, without any doubt.
First met Eddie at the Irish Schools Athletics fado fado.
Then the three years at Univ Hall in UCD Dublin where we studied Medicine and Rugby together.
Then off to the Mater Hosp for four more years, followed by emigration to the New World, where he orchestrated 45 years of great medical heroics in the field of fertility and procreation.

Ni fheicimid a leitheid anseo aris ann, agus
Go raibh a anam ar Dheis De anois, inniubh, amarach, go bragh agus i gconai.
Sonas, Slainte agus Siochan libh go leir,

Daithi MacCnoic as An Deise.
