To Doris and your beautiful boys,

It is with a very heavy heart that I write these words. Rubén was never just a cousin to us — he was truly like a brother, someone deeply woven into our lives.

We shared so many meaningful moments together, moments that shaped us and that I will treasure and carry with me forever. I am endlessly proud of everything he achieved, but what speaks loudest of who he was is the beautiful, loving family he built — all of you are his greatest legacy.

I will always hold close our childhood memories, his loving kindness towards us, the memories of our English sessions when he arrived in London, the laughter we shared, and our fun nights out and of course, his always loving advice to me. Those moments reflect his warmth, his humour, and the joy he brought to those around him.

You are in my thoughts always, and I hope that the love and memories you shared with him bring some comfort in this difficult time. He will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always loved.

It was with great sadness and shock I learned of the sudden death of Rubin. I had known him for a short time and it was only on Wednesday before he passed away that I chatted with him at the Trifol plant. He was such a nice person and had deep knowledge of the business, sincere condolences to Doris and the boys on the their sudden and untimely loss of Rubin . May he rest in peace

In Loving Memory of Ruben

I was so saddened to learn of Ruben’s passing. From our university days, his kindness and generosity always stood out. I will always remember him fondly—especially that Saturday evening when all of us classmates visited his home. Ruben made everyone feel welcome, and we had such a wonderful time together.
That warmth and generosity is how I will carry him in my memories.
Please accept my deepest sympathies. I hope you all find comfort in the love he shared and in the many lives he touched.

We are still shocked and dismayed at sudden passing of our good friend Ruben. Taken all too soon. our thoughts and prayers are with Doris and the boys, and all the team at Trifol.

Doris, we were all so shocked and saddened to hear of Ruben's sudden passing. My deepest condolences and thoughts to you, your two beautiful boys and the wider family.

Dear Doris words cannot express our shock & sadness on hearing of Ruben’s sudden passing and we send our deepest condolences to you and your family. Ruben was a colleague and friend at Gas2 in Aberdeen, Scotland and Wilton, England. He was a natural innovator and leader, but he was also at the social heart of our close-knit team working at the challenging edge of technology. He was so encouraging to others and always led by example. He was usually seen smiling and his laughter could be heard often. We remember celebrating your wedding in Aberdeen, getting to know you, Doris, and saw the love and chemistry between you both. Ruben will be missed but remembered so fondly . May you and your family find inner peace and strength.

Deepest condolences to all Reuben’s family and his work colleagues at Trifol. We met briefly once or twice - he was so courteous and self deprecating, yet was obviously so professional, engaged and knowledgable. A great loss to so many doubtless. RIP.

Our dear cousin Rubén was a remarkable man, and I will always cherish how lovingly he spoiled my siblings and me as we grew up together in Colombia—memories that have stayed with me all my life. From those early days to the special moments we shared as adults in the UK, his love, kindness, and integrity always shone through.
