For more than a decade, when organising or playing in inter club bowling competitions, I saw Dympna as a skilfull, competitive and very consistent bowler. She was a great team player and also a formidable opponent in singles. Even on days when she was obviously affected by back pain, she kept her bowling standards up.

I am pleased that she was President of The Western Bowls Association for the past year, a position she well deserved.
