A very nice guy and Galway will be all the poorer for his passing
OUR DEEPEST SYMPATHIES AT THIS SAD TIME. MAY HE REST IN PEACE IN THE FOOTBALL FIELDS OF HEAVEN
The word 'gentleman' has been used many times over when describing Chick for one simple reason: he was a gentleman.
I've nothing but fond memories of chatting to him outside the shop both as a teenager going to school and more recently as an adult going to work! He would light up even the darkest of days with his good humour and bubbly personality. The Deacy's have lost a loved one and Galway has lost a gentleman. RIP Chick, you will be sadly missed but fondly remembered.

How shocked I am to read in the Sentinel about Eamon's untimely death. He came here to our cottage in Cloonboo to attend Padraic's wake. I didn't know Eamon, but Padraic spoke often about him, his being such a great guy, a wonderful sportsman and a true Galwegian. My condolences to you all.
Stunned and saddened by the loss of a truly great sportsman and gentleman and friend,my thoughts and prayers are with his family on this sad occassion.Rest in peace old friend.
