Eamon Dolan

I was deeply shocked and saddened on hearing of the much too early passing of our beloved Eamon.
I was a colleague of Eamons for many years in Eircom.He was a great guy full of enthusiasm and energy,funny and enlivened the work atmosphere wherever he landed.I met Eamon several times since both leaving the job and i must say his jokes had not changed😉but also his banter and flair for an old yarn has not diminished either..He was the same old Eamon i sincerely loved and respected as a friend

I have just heard the very sad news of Eamonn's passing. We worked together in Eircom, and Eamonn was one of the Rottweilers. He was a great colleague and great fun to be with. Although it’s the best part of forty years since I ran with Eamon, the news of his death brought a flood of very fond memories. Eamon was a gentleman with great humour and enormous positive energy. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. However he left his mark. Thank you Eamon. May you rest in peace.

Shocked and saddened to hear of Eamon’s passing. Eamon was a great guy, a great fundraiser and always willing to help out, whether chauffeuring speakers for Golf events, prizes or lend a hand where needed. Funny and always in good humour. Eamon landscaped my back garden in Dublin and gave me that “extra” outdoor room! No doubt it added value when selling. Deepest sympathy to his family and many friends. Rest in Peace Eamon, gone way too soon.

I knew Eamon from the mid 80's when I moved to Dublin. Trained with Liffey Valley for a few years..had a lot of good (competitive !) training runs and races with Eamon. Always quick with a funny comment or response. We had a few laughs. I hadn't seen him in years but it's always shocking to hear someone you know, who was full of beans, has passed away.

My sympathies to his wife and daughter, and to his extended family.

On a lighted note, I had to smile when watching the service on line today and see Eamon taken from the church to Sinatra's "My Way"....

My deepest condolences to you and your family. I had the privilege of crossing paths with Eamon for a few months while working on a film together. A few colleagues and I came to work there from out of the country, and Eamon was an amazingly helpful guide, took care of our families, and inspired me daily with his positive spirit. So shocked to hear this news. Eamon was my Account Manager for Eircom many years ago when I worked in Bord na Móna. Because he worked his way up through the ranks he knew every person and nook and cranny there.

He was always a great laugh to be around. I bumped into him many times over the years. Like lots here he sorted out a jungle of a garden for me. I met him painting post boxes and last in the Railway Inn in Sallins late last year. I am genuinely shocked.

My heart goes out to his family. Often heard signing it but now it’s time for the “Wichita Lineman” to hang up the line and go home.
