Eamon O'Shaughnessy

I was very shocked and saddened to hear of Eamon’s sudden death. He was my accountant for the past number of years and I always enjoyed our interactions. Occasionally he would call me for advice and it was nice to be able to return his favours. He was a really nice guy and I’ll miss our conversations. My deepest sympathies to you all. May he rest in peace

Dear Catherine, I learned today only of Eamon's untimely death. What I will remember of Eamon is his sense of fun, his wit ,articularly in how to deal with government agencies, and his willingness to help. I greatly enjoyed his company, I just didn't get enough of it unfortunately. My depest sympathy to you, your children and your families on your terrible loss.

Catherine, Libby and James. I am so sorry for your loss. I only heard about Eamon yesterday. My condolences to you all and to your extended family. Eamon was my accountant for 16 years and helped me set up my company at the end of 2003. He was lovely to deal with, professional ,but always friendly, and you could ask him anything. You can be v.proud of him. He was a gentleman and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him .

I just heard today and am very sad. Eamon was such a lovely fun man to deal with. I always looked forward to meetings and calls even though they were about accounts! Such a kind person. RIP. I'm lighting a candle on Sherkin Island for all those who knew and loved him.

For the past few years I have had the good fortune to be working with Eamon through his firm. Eamon will be sadly missed by many. May he rest in peace.

Eamon provided an informal induction to me in WIT on arrival in 1995 and he brought energy, and imagination to our office. He believed in extending the students' horizons and provided them with nautical experiences as part of their college lives. God bless all those he loved and cared for at this time.
