Eamon Tierney

We are deeply saddened on the death of your Eamon, Niamh.
His cheeky grin and enthusiasm for life brightened and lightened many a day in ICU.
On a personal note Eamon played a huge part in our lives when he was the Anaesthetist at our son's difficult birth. He will never be forgotten in our house for his expertise, calmness and compassion on that day. Our sincerest sympathies to you and all the family.

He was always generous with his time to others and a wonderful and kind doctor to patients, colleagues and hospital staff. We got to know Eamon through volunteering at Wexford Festival Opera...where he served in many ways...always with care for others, and for the greater good.
We have early memories of meeting Eamon and his Biking friends as they parked their Motorbikes outside Kilkenny Castle, after their trip across from Wexford ...
I have fond memiores of Eamon joining James Glazier and, I in Festival Two, after the Opera.. as we sipped a glass of Bubbly, and enjoyed sharing in his lively, interesting, funny conversation.
He was the real, true family man, and that will bring comfort now, as you take your sad parting over the coming days.

There’s a specific kind of brotherhood that’s built over miles of walking, and Eamon Tierney was at the heart of it. Whether we were breathing hard on a ridge in Wales or navigating the sunny paths of Italy, Eamon had a way of making the journey feel as important as the destination.
The memories of those treks with Charley and Conor are some of the best I have. From the heat of Bahrain to the trails of Berra, Eamon was the steady, reliable presence that kept us moving and kept us laughing. He wasn't just a walking companion; he was the lifeblood of our adventures.
The world feels a little smaller without him on the trail, but every time we lace up our boots our boots now, he’s right there with us. He was a one-of-a-kind friend, and we were lucky to share the road with him.
To Eamon: A man who never met a horizon he couldn't reach. Ní bheidh a leithéid arís ann!

My thoughts and prayers are with you, Niamh, Ciara,Conor and Daire at this sad time . Eamonn certainly lead a fulfilled life and he touched so many peoples lives both professionally and personally . It was always such a pleasure to work in theatre with him, always calm and in good humour . Likewise ,he was wonderful to me when I was the patient. Eamonn, you are certainly now dreamonn@ heaven.com - and smiling down on everyone with your wicked grin.
