We had the pleasure of getting to know Éamon at our Irish language summer school which Éamon attended twice, he will be greatly missed by us and by his many Irish speaking friends .

So sad to hear of the passing of Mr Walsh. I have very fond memories of his English classes. He had a great sense of humour and a passion for teaching that brought out the best in his students .

I met Éamon on trips over the last few years to West Kerry as we sought to improve our Irish. He was a lovely companion and was liked by everyone he met there. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.

My sincere condolences to Eamon’s family. To lose a loved one is never easy. Little Mr Walsh was my teacher in HFSC, and to say he made a profound impression on me is an understatement. I had a lot going on at times, and his kindness and compassion and continuous support got me through some tough times. They often say we are fortunate to have a teacher in our lives that make a difference, well Eamon was the teacher in my life that made more than a difference. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your wonderful kindness, non judgement, time, humour and consideration during my time in HFSC. You were an angel on earth, fly high now Eamon. Heaven is lucky to have you. I’m only sorry I never got to say it you in person.
