Comhbhrón le muintir Uí Bhroiméil uilig ar bhás Éamonn. His funeral mass was such a touching celebration of his life - a life so obviously shaped by the love & support of his beautiful family. Looking at his photos touched that soft spot & a reminder of college days where everyone liked him so much. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Dear Fionnuala, Una and extended family, I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Eamonn's untimely passing while on a visit home recently. I had such a laugh with him on the trips to Germany and Brittany. A lovely guy and a great fiddle player. May he rest in peace.

Ba mhaith liom mo chomhbhrón ó chroí a ghabháil le gaolta agus cairde Éamonn. Bhí an t-ádh liom go raibh Éamonn mar mhúinteoir agus Príomhoide agam i nGaelscoil Donnacha Rua. Ba mhúinteoir den scoth é agus is cuimhin liom gáirí agus craic go minic sa seomra ranga. Ceann de na cuimhní is ansa liom ná an dráma a scríobh Éamonn don rang bunaithe ar amhrán a scríobh cara liom Gearóid sa rang ‘The Wee Smelly Sailor’. Cheap mé ag an am agus ceapaim fós gurb é an scoildráma is fearr a bhí ann agus seacht n-oiread níor fearr ná na gnáthdhrámaí scoile a bhfeictear. B’shin an sórt múinteora é Éamonn. Bhí sé cruthaitheach, bhí féith an ghrinn agus an ceol go smior ann. D’fhoghlaim mé formhór mo chuid Gaeilge i nGaelscoil Donnacha Rua agus ó Éamonn. Múinim í anois mé féin, is cuid lárnach í an Ghaeilge i mo shaol agus tógaim m’iníon Croídhe le Gaeilge chomh maith. Tá sí bliain go leith anois agus na focail Ghaeilge ag teacht go flúirseach uaithi. Caithfidh mé mo bhuíochas a ghabháil le hÉamonn as ucht sin. Mo thrua nach raibh mé in ann teacht chuig a shochraid ach beidh cuimhní deasa agam air go deo. Go mbeidh suaimhneas síoraí air.

It was with immense sadness that I learned of the untimely passing of Éamonn. He was such a talented man & I have fond memories of him entertaining us every night in the Feoghanach Gaeltacht. Deepest condolences to Úna, Fionnuala & the extended Bromell Family.
