My deepest sincere condolences to the Burgess family on the sad passing of Eamonn. In the short period of time I got to know
Eamonn on the board of Loreto Bray he was such a kind, welcoming and sincere gentleman. Eamonn had a wonderful way he would speak to you with great wisdom and knowledge and he would always go out of his way and give his time to have those interesting conversations. He will be deeply missed by his family especially his grandchildren whom he spoke of regularly with great pride. He is going to be a massive loss to Loreto Bray and to the board where he had done outstanding work making our school such a better place for all of us.

My sincere sympathies to Eamonn's family. I had the privilege of working with Eamonn for 30 years on the Board of Management of Loreto Secondary School, Bray. He made a wonderful contribution to Loreto Bray and oversaw many important changes. He brought quiet wisdom to the role. His generosity and sense of fairness were inspirational. A true gentleman! Wicklow Citizens Information Service and I witnessed his commitment to providing the best possible service to our customers. On a national level he drove and developed a scheme to recognise and celebrate the work of the volunteers who were the backbone of the Citizens Information Service. He was a kind, considerate and compassionate man, great company, great fun, witty and he had a lovely smile. I am sure that he was welcomed with open arms into his Heavenly Home. From my side he employed me at 3M 31 years ago last month.
Eamonn was always a very loyal, fair and honest boss who was a pleasure to spend time with both in business and socially. We shared many great chats long after he retired, not least about his sporting achievements having the distinction of having represented both Louth and Dublin at intercounty level in gaelic football.

Dear Betty and all the Burgess family, please accept my sympathy on the sad death of your beloved Eamonn. As an ex-3Mer I got to know Eamonn at our VERY regular lunches over the past few years. He was the best party organiser you could hope to meet, and I'm sure that he's up there in Heaven right now contacting all of our 3M friends who got there before him, especially Jerry. Eamonn was a wonderful man and he will be missed.
