Such a brilliant and enthusiastic mind, I will miss him. And who now will sing Johnny Jump Up? The thought of his renditions will long make me smile.
Our heartfelt condolences to Michael, Pádraig, John, Liam, Séamus and families, on the untimely passing of Eamonn. We first got to know Eamonn when living in New Malden and Eammo came over to stay with John, Patsy and family who we”d known for a while. He was a teenager but what a young loveable mischievous chap he was even then. Great sense of humour, incredibly smart with a smile never far away from his lips. Many antics belying his young age left an indelible impression - he’ll be sorely missed. RIP love Clive, Mary and Family
Eamonn,
Very lucky to have gotten to spend some quality time with both yourself and John at the Rose and Crown.
An incredibly genuine individual. Rest in peace.

A perpetual rogue with a heart of gold. Gifted, devilish, witty, and true.
Always stopped to say hello, to ask about how things were, and to wish me well.
He was the first to shake my hand and offer a kind word when both were needed. It was always done with good intent, and a genuine concern.
He will be missed, and fondly remembered.
My sincerest sympathies to all.
Requiescat in pace 🌹

My deepest condolences to the Coghlan family on the sudden passing of Eamonn. He was always great fun to be with. He will be greatly missed by everyone he knew.
He was a master of puzzles, no one could compare:
That huge brain of his had such oodles to spare!
Sudoku, kakuro, Wordle and Codewords;
Panagram, Plus word….and of course Cryptic Crosswords.
So many stories to tell, where could one even begin,
So, so many laughs, ‘tis true, but also times of chagrin.
Not one ever to plump for stuff that happened to be in vogue,
And always such a delightful and most loveable rogue!
He fought his cancer with great spirit and formidable redoubt,
And through all of that time, kept the bright side out.
So tragic in the end that he was still taken so soon:
To freak accidents like this, sadly noone’s immune!
Eamo lived life to the full, exuding such huge energy,
He’d light up any room with warmth and joy aplenty.
Boys and girls alike would succumb to his charm,
And with that cheeky smile and glint he would you disarm.
So adieu adieu, what more can we say,
Our beloved and brilliant boy has been taken away!
To be sure we can say he was one without equal;
So, we shall forever miss our so amazing pal.

FOR OUR BOY, EAMONN
We are all here to bid our lovely Eamo adieu:
A boy of so many talents, truly one of so few.
He has left us so early, leaving us shocked to the core
That his heartwarming presence won’t be with us anymore.
As a young man of twenty, ‘twas to London town he first strayed
To pursue his destiny and the great fortune to be made.
Not too long after that he decided to migrate,
And join brother Pete in Oz down under to pursue his fate
In the end of course he returned to his roots:
To his beloved Cork City, and new pursuits.
He lectured a lot and built his business of IT;
And of course immersed himself in Cork’s long history.
He was,to be sure, familiar with many a Cork pub and inn;
Frequented regularly it must be said through thick and thin:
The High B of course and The Station View,
The Long Valley and Counihans, to mention but a few!
A poet and a singer, his words would ever resound,
Always fun and the craic whenever he was around.
To one and all in the world, Eamo could so easily relate:
That drew to his company so many a friend and a mate
