So sad to hear the news on Eamonn. Hadn't seen him in a good while but we had great days together in Salesians /Stillorgan RFC. Eamonnn was a tough man on the pitch but great fun and gentle off it.

My friend Eamon. I am sorry I couldn't make it to your funeral. I am going too miss our phone chats. That sense of humour. Always seeing the brighter side of life. Its been a pleasure working in the stores with U. The crack we used to have. We all will miss U.

I encountered Eamons whilst playing rugby with him - My memory is of a gentleman who had a quiet ,powerful and understated presence whilst playing with Salesians RFC ( now Stillorgan Rathfarnham RFC )- May Eamon’s soul have a speedy passage to heaven R.I.P - Joe ODwyer

Marion, Brendan and Ned, so sorry for your loss. I remember Eamonn as a lovely person and very funny character. Thoughts and prayers with you all. Hope your Dad is doing well Brendan.

I was saddened to hear of Eamonn's passing. I met him when we were both young men and shared many a fun filled evening with him on Camden street. On one such evening he persuaded me to join his rugby club, then know as Salesians RFC and since renamed Stillorgan Rathfarnham. We suffered many a defeat together and laughed and joked more than wept at our plight. I fondly remember his light hearted devilment on our club trip to Boston.
Regretably we lost touch after our playing days but on the occasions some his his old team mates meet, he is usually in one of the "do you remember the time" moments. The unfailing good humour and the grin.
