Had many the chat and banter with Eamon in The Railway Inn , Sallins so strange to see his spot empty....so sorry to hear of his passing just now.

Dear Nuala and Anne, it’s with great sadness that we learned of Eamonn’s passing. He was a gentle, kind, caring man, with a wonderful, sharp sense of humour. Many’s the night we shared a guitar together, for hours and hours, at house parties, or any venue foolish enough to allow us play. I loved those occasions. May you rest in peace, Eamonn.

Played football with eamonn with the freewheelers, always looked forward to a pint with him after matches, he was a gent, my deepest sympathies

The parties in Floraville when he took up residence in the corner, the maestro, entertaining us until the early hours
The cynical, acerbic wit, the black humour, laughing until my face hurt
Singing every track from “The Commitments” in our kitchen
Introducing me to Rodney Crowell and Alison Kraut
The “Slingblade” movie
The Stevie Wonder concert at the RDS
The cups of tea when I dropped in with the dogs
The sadness when you were not in Clondalkin anymore….. and we did not see you again
