I'm so saddened to just hear of Eamonn's passing, my deepest condolences to Hannah,Eoin,Aoife, Aiden,Triona,Joan and the fitzpatrick family. Eamonn was an inspiration to us young lads in the 70s and 80s watching him win county title after tìtle, later i got to play a few games with him especially in 1985 when he helped us win the junior hurling championship, he was the epitome of the barrs fearless on the field and giving of his time off it, rest in peace Eamonn,'captain my captain'.
