To my dear brother, Eamonn. Today would have been your birthday (30th Jan) and we miss you so much - each day without you just seems to be getting harder and harder. What consoles me now is that you are at peace and looking at your lovely face in pictures that I keep nearby reminds me of what a kind and loving brother you were - we were so proud of you. I will always treasure those memories and I know you are happier than any of us now. Love you so much Eamonn, rest in peace. xxx

Violet, I attended Eamonn's funeral today, it was a lovely and moving service. It was of no suprise to me that so many people attended to pay their respects.Eamonn and I worked together, first in the 1980s at HQ and at various times over the years, one thing never changed, his love of his family and his pride, rightly of your three lovely children, who did both you and Eamonn proud today. They can be justifiably proud of their Dad, and each of their eulogies was lovely, very moving and heartwarming.
I hope you can take some solace at the numbers there today.May he rest in peace, and look down and guide your lovely children.

Eamonn: As I remember, with great fondness , all the laughs we had working together, I still find it hard to believe that you've gone.
Violet :If you need anything, now or in the future, you know you only need to ask .
Eamonn, Sinéad & Conor : You should know how much your Dad thought of you, and how proud you made him !.

With deepest condolences to Violet and family. In memory of a very special friend and a dedicated work colleague. Eamon's Irish sense of humour will be greatly missed. The only man that could carry off shirt sleeve hold ups! A true gentleman. Too much to live for and too little time. God Bless from Ian & Denise Martin xx
