Eamonn, I only got to meet you the once at Adam and Jess's wedding last year, with your lovely wife Victoria, but I am so grateful I did. You impressed Ken, my Dad and I with your charm, humour, intelligence and left us all thinking what a lovely, lovely man you are and what a beautiful couple you and Vick are. We never did get to meet up at the Philharmonic pub in Liverpool and try one of the amazing pies you kept telling us about...but I will, and I'll raise a glass to you and Ken there!🍷🍷
Rest easy now. Lots love.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Eamonn's passing. We first met back in the mid 1990s in the Wirral, when I had the privilege of taking him through some of his initial Bass training, where it was clear he was a natural mine host. As a pub manager he had that great gift of being effortlessly welcoming, funny but always professional, and setting a standard that others aspired to. I remember him most for his smiling eyes, he brought genuine warmth and it was always a pleasure to be in his company. Over the years he became the go-to person for helping train new managers, as someone everyone trusted to show them not just how to do the job, but how to do it well. His influence will have shaped more careers and more people than he ever realised. I have some really fond memories of great times when we worked together in O'Neills. My heartfelt condolences and prayers to Eamonn's family.

Deepest sympathies to all of the Lavin family of the very sad loss of Eamon. May all your treasured memories help you through this difficult time and may his gentle soul rest in peace 🙏🏼
Eamonn was a very close friend having met him when Erin, Isabel and Laura (and then Issy) were at nursery together. We became close friends over the years frequenting each others houses for play days and curry circle as neither of us had babysitters. These events often ran into the early hours and always ended with Eamonn going on You Tube and bringing up 80's songs and the inevitable 'Sound of Music' as Eamonn knew I loved Christopher Plummer. We also enjoyed days out and holidays together. We all remember Gulliver's World where Eamonn and Steve had to dress up as elves, Steve maintains that Eamonn only won as Steve got his pants stuck in his boots. At Center Parcs Eamonn was stuck with all girls as Steve forgot to book his holidays in work and even though Eamonn was in terrible pain with Gall stones, he still helped me put the bikes on the car. We also enjoyed frequent caravan stays and trips to Aberdaron where we all squashed in together. Once the kids got older we started going out to restaurants for our curry circle. We had to stop going to one curry house (Ruhi) as Eamonn was a clear favourite of one of the waiters (enough said). Eamonn was infamous for getting food all over his new shirts (much to Vicky's annoyance). On one occasion he even managed to knock wine over and redecorated the wall in the process. Needless to say he was a key figure in our lives, kind, caring and a good friend. We will miss him lots.
My deepest condolences to Vicky and the Lavin family. Eamonn was such a lovely family man who always made me feel welcomed. He always had a smile on his face and a funny story to tell.

Words cannot express how saddened I am to learn of the sudden passing of Eamonn. I worked with Eamonn for many, many years starting off in the likes of Flanagan's Apple, Rosie O’Grady's and O’Neill's and more recently in the Philharmonic Pub. Eamonn was a devoted family man who worked hard all his life and always had a big smile on his face. It’s hard to believe that he has gone; I am going to miss popping in to see him in the office and having a giggle. My thoughts and prayers go out to Vicky, Isabel and Erin and the rest of his family. Rest in Peace, Eamonn.
