Just heard the sad news of Eamonn's passing, my deepest sympathy to his wife and family, he was a great family man and indeed a great Tipperary man and so proud of both. Eamonn was a wonderful work colleague who always was 'help at hand' what can I say but such a huge loss to all who were lucky to know and work with him. May his lovely soul rest at peace, we have lost a great friend.

Today we have lost our dear friend and colleague. Eamonn will always be remembered for the kindness he had shown to others in their time of need. He was a proud father grandfather and family man.

He was also a proud member of the prison service where he brought many changes in difficult times. I worked with Eamonn in Mountjoy and in Portlaoise and today I have lost a great friend.
