Deepest sympathies to Chrissie and to all the Troy family and friends at this sad time. Eamonn was a lovely man to meet with a warm smile and a kind, creative heart. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

My sincere condolences to all those who Eamonn has left behind. Eamonn showed tremendous kindness and was a role model for me and so many others. Eamonn introduced me to Judo at the tender age of 7. He picked me up at "Taylors" cross every Sunday morning and he brought me to judo training in Kilrush from 1980 to 1990 (along with Gerard, Eamonn and others). He brought me to training in Kilkee on other days and to so many competitions. It was an amazing developmental period in my life. I wrote to him about a year ago to thank him for what he did and he took the time to write back. Eamonn took great care to create an environment, give people space to develop and gently encourage them. His last words to me were "you take care and enjoy life". He had a profound impact on me. To the family Eamonn leaves behind, thank you. Rest in peace Eamonn

I was shocked to hear of the death of my 45 playing partner such a good player and one very nice guy i will miss you Eamon, RIP.

I have fond memories of the Judo Club in Kilrush run by Eamonn back in the 80’s. All the training we did, the competitions, and the fundraising walks out to Kilkee and back. Eamonn worked us hard, encouraged us to test for the next belt and compete in competitions. We had great craic and those five years as a teenager at the Judo Club were brilliant and I learned valuable lessons that I have used in my life. Thank you Eamonn. May God bless you and keep you with him in heaven.
