So sorry to hear of Eamonn's passing. He was my first cousin but I never really knew him growing up in Tipperary. When I published a book a few years ago he got in touch and gave me a great tour of Dail Eireann. Everywhere we went he was greeted warmly by TDs and staff. It was a lovely day I will always remember. Deepest sympathy to Eamonn's family.

I had the honour of serving as a Labour TD, with Eamonn, between 1992 and 1997 when he strongly represented his constituents in Dublin South West.
