Very sad to learn of this tragic news of Eddie’s passing. Deepest Sympathies to his Dad, his Sisters & all his nephews& nieces, sad,sad times. From the 1st time I met Ed down the Back of the 22 Bus back when we were both about 17. I was going to sort him out with a Pair of glasses. From there we just had great craic. He was so open minded , spontaneous and up for good laugh getting out and about in Dublin & then Spontaneous trips to places like Belfast, Galway, breaking hearts along the way. Eddie, would throw a suggestion and we’d jump on a Bus, his spontaneity was class. Then we all started to gather as a little Pose, Jay & Mousey, Smarty, Karen& Andrea, Robbie all going out to the System& Temple in those early days. Eddie was always up for a bit craic with his Infectious Chuckle, he loved to make people laugh & loved to get up to shenanigans. He’ll be sadly missed & deepest sympathies to all on this tragic loss of Ed, you all will be in my prayers

I knew of eddie through my brother eddie funnily enough and then i experienced eddie at my brothers 50th birthday and life of the party doesnt even come close to eddie arkins . Such sad news hearing of eddies passing..eddie tracey and helena and all the family you are in my toughts and prayers at this most difficult time... we grew up together like brothers and got up some serious messing together and serious laugh together. Both home and abroad over the years with the rest of the gang.
So many good times .. theres songs and when i hear them i always think of you even to this day.
ill remember the the music and the late nights and the laugh we all shared together .. memories to last a lifetime ...
