Deepest sympathy to Eddie's family and especially to Annie Davis in Esker North, Drumlish and her family. I first met Eddie with Albert in a 1968 Bye-election campaign in Wicklow when we were all so much younger. Eddie Bohan was always a most loyal and friendly son of Longford and was always there when needed. Grasta o Dhia ar a anam dilis poblachtach.
A gentleman with whom I had many a happy hour when we served together in Seanad Eireann. It was a pleasure meeting him as one was always assured of having a good laugh. He was generous and kind and we shall miss him.
Maeve and I send you our condolences. May Eddie rest in peace.

The sad news of Eddie's death got us all thinking about the night in 2003 on which he was honoured by the Longford Association in Dublin as Longford Person of the Year. That particular annual dinner was one of our most exciting; as a well-respected senator and president of Irish Vintners, Eddie's support on the night included ex Taoiseach, the late Albert Reynolds, many government ministers, senators, other public representatives and people from the world of business. Eddie and his late wife, Betty, were great supporters of the Association for a long number of years.
To the Bohan family, Barbara, Beverly, Liz and Eddie, extended family and Eddie's many, many friends the members of the Longford Association tender our deepest sympathy.

Great man and Great character and Licence trade man rang him one day and he was traveling the town lands of Longford with a future Taoiseach in his car the late Albert Reynolds but still gave me the time to speak with me about our business dealings. Condolences to all his family at this sad time.
My deepest sympathy to all the BOHAN family. Eddie was a gentleman and he always got my vote.. how could you not!!!

Deepest sympathy to all the family and extended family of Eddie. R.I.P. He was a great friend to us all in the Fianna Fail organisation here in Longford. It was always a pleasure to meet him on our visits to Leinster House over the years. Another great man gone. He will be joining Betty and catching up with Albert, Mickey,Noel and the rest of the old gang now. Rest in Peace Eddie.
