Eily and family, we are so sorry to hear of Eddies death. Summer in Liscannor always meant meeting Eddie at the shore or in the village, enjoying life to the full. We will have a swim and raise a glass in his memory.

The very sad news of Edddie’s departure has just reached us across the Atlantic .
What a character he was. One of the first and best guys I met in the 70s when I first arrived at Lansdowne.
He immediately informed me that he would whip me into shape if it was the last thing he did.
No more Horse Show House sessions on Friday nights was the first thing to go.
In my over 2 years under his amazing tutelage I went from 15.5 stone to 14 from all the massive fitness training.
I don’t think I ever reached that same level ever since.
Then on a Sat after the match he’d compliment you if you played to his standard.
I always looked forward to seeing him on my many trips home over the years.
