Sorry to hear of Eddie's passing. Had many chats about music with Eddie, I trying to introduce him to some of the great jazz musicians, and he sharing some of his classical favourites.with me.

Sincere condolences to Eddies family , As captain of The European Club , he would always meet u there with a smile & a story from his grocery or golfing days . A true gentleman. RIP

Eddie was a best friend of my dad since before I was born. Basically I’ve known him all my life. They were ringleaders of a classical mafia which had regular musical gatherings in various Dublin locations to confuse the enemy. Eddie and dad travelled to countless concerts home and abroad. Troubadours of the arts. Spreading the gospel.

Now, sadly the final veteran has left the building. That heartwarming era is officially past tense. But the good news is that they’re all reunited up beyond. Recently heaven has become overbalanced due to all the rockstars arriving. Time for moderation. Excuse me mr Jeffrey Beck would you mind turning down that noisy guitar. This is the slow movement.

I’m slightly tearful writing this because of all the fond memories it brings back.

Wishing all family and friends the strength to get through this difficult time.

So sorry to hear the sad news. Always a pleasure to meet Captain Eddie and stroll and chat about golf and music and people. They don't make them like Eddie anymore, he leaves quite a gap.
