Eddie Henry

I was deeply saddened to hear of Eddie's passing. I worked with him in Coolmine Community School and I remember him as a great character and story teller. He was always a great support to me as a young teacher.

Many stories told over coffee in Bewleys when I started working in Coolmine. A great role model for a young teacher starting out. May you rest in peace Eddie.

Sincere sympathy to Eddie’s family and friends. We have lost a gentleman. Eddie had a brilliant mind and was an inspirational History teacher for students who wished to learn. He was always a pleasant and entertaining colleague.

Deepest condolences to all of Mr Henry’s family. We were all students in Coolmine Community School and benefitted hugely from his amazing knowledge on all things history and geography: his knowledge of so much had no bounds and he was such a lovely teacher to all his pupils down through the years/ one who brought great joy into learning in school.

I was very sorry to hear that Eddie had died. He always spoke lovingly of his family. I worked in Coolmine with Eddie for many years. He was a gentleman and quite the storyteller. it is sad that he did not get the chance to enjoy retirement.

So sorry to hear of ‘Mr Henry’s’ death. It is hard to picture Coolmine Community School without him. I will always have very fond memories of his history class. He was a mind of information and had a great sense of humour. RIP (Leaving cert class of 2007)

As a former student of Coolmine, I can't say that history was my favourite subject, but my mum took adult classes with Eddie and always said what a great teacher he was. My favourite memory is of inviting him and some more teachers to join us at our 20th year reunion back in 2009! We had such a laugh recalling stories of old. Rest in peace Mr Henry.
