Just heard the sad news- my sympathy to Shirley and all the Family- I last met Eddie in Templemore while he was training the local club- a true gentleman

RIP dear uncle Eddie, thank you for all those happy childhood memories you gave to us. You were always ready to play a tune for us (whether we wanted it or not) and help fill our days with laughter and love. You will be sadly missed but never forgotten: your shoes are way too big to fill!

With great sadness I heard this week of the death of Eddie R.I.P. . He was a man of so many talents. A wonderful carpenter and teacher of carpentry a musician and a sportsman. I served my apprenticeship with him many moons ago.Great times and had many practice sessions at lunchtime. Eddie always had the half hundred weight in the boot of the car.

Eddie was a legend in Clashmore, a cultural and sporting icon. Always spoke very warmly about Sneem and Kerry. Sorely missed, and deepest sympathy to his family.

We were saddened to hear about the sad passing of Eddie.
I have great memories when I was young of Eddie and my own father, Len competing in the various sports meetings when they were throwing the discus and 56lbs weights.
We truly appreciated the beautiful tribute Eddie paid to our father when, some years ago, he played the pipes at the the funeral of his old sporting friend (my father Leonard).
