Dear O’Grady family,

I wish to take a moment to express my heartfelt condolences for your loss – our loss. My heart goes out to you during these incredibly challenging times. I can't begin to imagine the depth of your pain, but I hope you are finding moments of peace, even in the midst of it all.

I have so many warm memories of Eddie. Christmases and summer gatherings at his and Mary’s home amongst the most fond of these. He and Mary were always such gracious and welcoming hosts – their home filled with so much love, laughter, and joy.
Eddie had this effortless way of making everyone feel special, seen, and at ease. Whether it was through his kind words, his contagious laughter, or simply his presence, he had a way of brightening the room and bringing people together.

I find great comfort in knowing that Eddie lived a truly remarkable life, full of love, adventure, and purpose. He was a wonderful person who created an extraordinary family. His legacy is a testament to the love he shared and the impact he had on everyone who was fortunate enough to know him. We are all better for having had Eddie in our lives.

While nothing can take away the pain of his passing, I hope that the many wonderful memories you’ve shared with him offer you some solace in the days ahead. Eddie’s spirit will undoubtedly live on through the love he gave, the lives he touched, and the beautiful family he leaves behind.

I have very fond childhood memories growing up next door to all the O Gradys. It was especially nice to reconnect with Eddie in St Patrick's while visiting my own Dad, he always had a welcoming smile on his face.
