I had the pleasure of having Edel as a teacher in 5th and 6th year in Colaiste Ris.

I'm so very sorry to hear just now about the death of Ms Magee who taught me German in Coláiste Rís in the 1990s. I have very fond memories of her as a supportive, caring and fun teacher, easy to chat to and great to learn from. My condolences to her family and friends. Suaimhneas síoraí dá hanam.

Ms Magee was a fantastic woman and teacher, she had such a bubbly personality & a gentle soul. She made the classroom a fun, vibrant place to learn. She was a passionate teacher and her love of the French language made it an easy place to learn. Going to her class was one of the best parts of my school day, she was a true inspiration for every student that had the pleasure of knowing her.

I am truly saddened by the untimely passing of Ms Magee. She was a kind, dynamic, passionate, dedicated teacher with a wonderful sense of humor. Her easy going teaching style was inspirational and fun and she was always so interested to hear how her past pupils were getting on. Ms Magee organised my first German exchange when I was 15 and this experience along with her enthusiasm for travel instilled in me a passion to see the world. I will be forever grateful for the teachings of Ms Magee and will remember her always with fond memories.

Edel was so lovely and taught me German all through secondary school. I even went on to study it at University. She was cool, calm, nice, smart and great fun. An all round great teacher and a good friend to my mam, Esther. RIP Edel.
