Rip a beautiful girl

I was so shocked and saddened to hear about Edel's passing. I bumped into her when I was home in Ireland last Christmas and she came over with a big smile and said hello. It had been years since I had worked with her in Porters and we chatted about the last time we saw each other and what we had been up to since. She made you feel so at ease in her company. I will fondly remember her laughter, banter, her pure kindness and the joy in her face when she spoke about Gavin, Gwen and little Joe. There are no words that can ease your pain and sadness but I hope that you can find comfort in your beautiful family, friends and colleagues. She touched the lives of so many. Sleep well Edel. xx

Edel touched the hearts of everyone she ever met, when she walked into the room she made you smile, the funniest, kindest, most genuine girl you could ever meet. A beautiful life taken far too soon. My deepest sympathy to her husband Gavin, her two little beautiful children, her family and all her friends.

I was lucky enough to know Edel since school and we grew up just down the road from each other. What a wonderful girl - the energy of 10 people and always a smile and laugh for everyone. When I think of her all I can see is a massive smile and I can feel the warmth that was always coming from her. She was hilarious and kind and full of life. There really are no words for how sorry I am to her husband Gavin, her beautiful children, her lovely parents Ursula and Frank and sister and brother Yvonne and Frank and all her family and friends. She was a credit to her family and a shining light to us all. While we weren't in contact often over the last few years I always thought so fondly of her and I'm so so sad about what has happened. Extremely saddened to hear of Edel's passing. I only knew through Fitness 4 Life but she always made an impression and helped who she could in the group. Thoughts are with Gavin, the kids and extended family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. xx

Edel was the life and soul of all our parties, weddings, coffee afternoons. A true and loyal friend who had time for everyone she met. She lived life to the fullest. I've been friends with Edel since 4th year in school and I've so many wonderful memories of her - alot can not be repeated here. she has left behind alot of heavy hearts but the sky will shine extra bright tonight as she shines down on all of us. my heart goes out to her family at this time she was some women for one women and her legacy will live on in her children xx sleep well my friend xxx
