I only heard the sad news today about Edel’s passing, and my heart is so heavy. We grew up and went to school together, and I have such fond memories of those days. She was always such a lovely, genuine person, gone far too soon. I’m so sorry I didn’t know sooner. My deepest sympathy to her family and all who loved her — may she rest in peace.

To Kate and all the Thompson family, I only just heard of the tragic news of Edel’s passing. I am so saddened to hear this and my sincere condolences to you all. I can’t believe she is gone so soon. Such a lovely girl. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.
