I feel so blessed to have known you Edel. You inspired me as a Montessori teacher and you brought such fun, laughter and companionship into my life as a dear friend too.
I miss you so much and think of you often but will treasure the memories of our shared experiences forever.

I have seen you at your best, I have seen you struggling at the end. You will always be remembered in my heart as you, a beautiful, kind soul. Your husband Richard is the man who put you first and I always admired the love you both shared. Orin, an amazing young man is the result of you both showing what a loving family is. Edel you will be missed for sure but you have had such a positive influence too so many’s people’s lives which was mirrored in an amazing sendoff today by her family.

I feel very honored to have met you, and it was a privilege to have you as both a friend and work colleague. I absolutely loved working with you, it was such good fun. You always brightened up the day; joking around and having a laugh. You were an amazing Montessori teacher, very passionate, supportive and full of wonderful ideas. The children adored you and loved you teaching them. I'm so grateful for the support you gave me with my own children, especially with my eldest; motivating and inspiring her to do so well during her GCSE's. It is with great sadness that we to send condolences to you Richard and Orin and Edel’s family in Glencolmcille, on her premature demise. We as your nearest neighbours in your new home in Bessmount, were delighted to welcome a lovely family and looked forward to their being our neighbours and friends. In the short time we knew her she impressed us deeply and we looked forward to the new dynamic she would bring.
Sadly the dream for Edel was short lived, but we hope not for you Richard and family . The last words she spoke to me was “Pray for me” and this we did and will continue to do. Amen

I’ve known Edel for over 20 years started off being her hairdresser when she was working as a young professional in Liverpool st
She would come for weekly blow dry and we would laugh so much and gossip.
I then became the family hairdresser Richard ,orin
I’m going to miss her dearly

I have such fond memories of working with Edel at Rose House Montessori. She was a hardworking, passionate, and fun colleague who always brought warmth and dedication to her work. She spoke so highly of Richard and Orin, and it was clear how much she cherished them. Edel will be deeply missed, and my thoughts are with her family during this difficult time.

From the moment Edel came into our lives she brought fun and happiness every day.
Forming the “trio” with Sharon and Sandra where every day was about enjoyment , fun and living life.
So many memories through the years despite life getting in the way we managed to stay in touch and remain friends.
Edel grew from being so quiet and reserved to one of the strongest characters, putting Dan in place with a “no dear” if he stepped out of line.
She will be sorely missed by all of us.

Edel was my first friend in London and best friend over the 6 years we lived there. She took me under her wing and it made all the difference. Edel, Richard and Orin became our overseas family.
