I was shocked & saddened upon learning of the passing of my dear friend Edith. I would like to extend my sincere sympathy to Dick, all the Mossop, Dempsey & their extended families.
I have known Edith for many years since our time working in Pim's, Mountmellick. Over time we both moved on to other workplaces but always kept in touch. Despite moving to the USA our friendship continued. After all these years of friendship it was so nice to open my mailbox & find a letter from Edith. She never forgot me on St. Patrick's Day & would send a beautiful card.
When I visited Ireland we always got together for Lunch or Dinner in Portlaoise, Tullamore & our last meeting was at the County Arms Hotel, Birr.
Edith was a beautiful Lady, kind, very sincere & a wonderful friend. I will miss her very much & the beautiful memories I have will be kept close to
my heart.
Edith, it was such a pleasure knowing you. Rest in Peace my wonderful friend.
