I knew Eddie when I worked as a chef in the Orwell lodge hotel Rathgar almost 30 years ago. He delivered the meat to us there.
He was a pure gentleman.

In the over forty years I had the pleasure of knowing Eddie I don't think I ever left his company without a smile. He was such a genuinely decent man. Sleep well and dream easy Eddie. Deepest condolences to you Christopher and to your mother and all of Eddie's family.

He was very kind to our parents and we often heard of the lengths Eddie went to to assist our elderly parents over the past 20 years. This was very comforting to know as our parents would often comment on his kindness as our family are spread far and wide. Eddie was a real gentleman who will be greatly missed by the people of Inchicore. RIP Eddie.
