To Caroline and all the O'Keefe family, I am truly sorry for the pain and heartache you are feeling at the loss of Eddie. He was a gent, full of life-vibrant and energetic, genuine and kind. His energy at training and tournaments was incredible!

It is just so hard to understand when a life is lost before their time, but I know that Eddie will remain in the hearts, thoughts and words of the many people he positively impacted across the world.

To Eddie's family, loved ones and friends - I am so deeply sorry for your loss. I sat right beside Eddie for nearly two years at Amazon in Cork, and soon got to know him well. He would fill me in on the latest news of any matches, whatever his latest passion was (such as the time he practiced non stop to busk for charity in Cork city, or what Golf course he wanted to take on next), and proudly share stories tell me all about his family. We chatted only a month or so ago, and he told me of all that was going well in life, and he seemed just so happy. It is such a devastating shock to hear that Eddie has been taken all too soon. I remember Eddie around Scoil Pol, he brightened up the place and the day, he was impossible to get cross with, because he'd look almost as upset by the issue as the teacher was!
He was an absolute pleasure to have in a class and it was so very clear that his positive personality continued into his future.
Caroline, you and he had a beautiful 3 years together as you outlined in that fantastic Dubai tribute to him, I pray that precious memories support you and his family in the times ahead.

Despite not seeing him for many years it really sounded like he lived life to its fullest and packed so much in in his 32 years.
