To Eddy’s extended family, it is with much sadness to hear of Eddy’s passing. We have fond memories of fishing trips with Eddy and Olive over the years and the great comraderie that ensued. May he rest in peace 🙏

Sad to hear of Edmond's passing, we hope Eleanor and Declan are able to hold on to each other

So sad to hear that Edmond has died. He, I and Liam Staunton were in digs together on Home Farm Road during our final years in the Albert College UCD. We had lots of fun then and also many years afterwards and at that time in our final year time Edmond and Olive became an item. Happy memories and sincere sympathy to Edmond's family.

Sincere sympathies to Imelda, Declan, Eleanor and Eddy’s extended family. I grew up with my wonderful mother and father beside Eddy and Olive. I have wonderful memories of calling up for coffee and biscuits and then maturing into lots of red wine with Eddy when visiting over age! I adored Olive so much and i had great affection for Eddy. He could have an acerbic commentary on many issues of the day and it was always interesting to hear his views on matters. He had a warmth and a softness to him also. A man with many passions including bridge, tennis, fly fishing and gardening. It is the end of an era from my childhood. May he rest in peace.

Eddy was the founder of our club 18 years ago and ran it very successfully until recently. He was always ready to offer advice and encouragement to all who walked into the Community Hall on Wednesday mornings.
Eddy had a great sense of humour and always had a story to tell.
He joined us on a few Wednesdays lately and was delighted to see how his club has grown over the last few years.
Eddy really loved his bridge and his legacy lives on in our club.
