Edmund Corrigan

Deepest sympathy to Sheila, Paul, and all the extended family, and to Regina Mundi College.It has been my privilege
to serve on his Board for Regina Mundi. The longer I knew Edmund the more truly I recognised the deeply Christian man he was, kind, gentle and loving, and so evident in his acceptance of his illness. He was an example to all who knew him.

It is with appreciation we have read on this condolence book for our brother Edmund, all the many kind and thoughtful comments you have made note about Edmund and membranes of his character and also he was considerate of people he happened to know and had only just met, also that he might well be an example of how we all should behave properly on our contact with each other and behaviour from a community and general sense. We have been left in no doubt in Edmunds passing that he was held in much esteem by one and all. We wish him rest in peace. Go raibh mile maith agat go leir. Gabhaim buiochas leat . Sympathies to Edmund’s family and friends. He very generously gifted Waterford Treasures a miniature of a Waterfordian which we’re delighted to display and we will not forget him. It was wonderful to experience his learning, kindness and gentleness, if too briefly. RIP

Deepest condolences to beloved Edmund's family. Edmund was one of the kindest and generous people you can hope in a lifetime to meet. He had a huge heart and an educated mind. He lifted up everyone he met with his beautiful smile. His enduring legacy to Doneraile Court and Castletown comprise an astonishing array of marvellous miniatures of families from historic houses all over Ireland. Our tribute to you will be completing your farsighted project Edmund in your memory. We will always think of you so fondly in our hearts when we look at these. I will miss receiving your treasured handwritten letters packed with information on new acquistions. Your enthusiasm was infectious. We will all miss your radiant smile. Rest gently now. We are saddened to hear of Mr Corrigan’s passing and grateful for his dedication to the Regina Mundi community. He was a true gentleman who embodied the school motto “Sapientia et virtute”. On my own behalf and on behalf of the Regina Mundi College Parents’ Council, I would like to express our condolences to Edmund’s dear sister Sheila, brother Paul, and Edmund’s extended family and friends on Edmund’s sad passing. We had the pleasure of working closely with him on the Parents’ Council. He was such a true gentlemen, always in such good humour and always so generous and so giving of his time. It was an honour and a privelege knowing him, and he will be truly missed.
