I am so very sad to hear of Ed’s untimely death. He was always very pleasant whether at work in Lr. Mount St. many years ago or more recently in RC Club. And he always had an easy smile. Sincere condolences to his wife Pam, his dad, brothers and extended family. RIP Ed.

Dear all the Gaffney family. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I have many memories of Ed giving up his time to man the bar in Ttc over the years. He always brought a smile and a high level of professionalism to his bar service. I really enjoyed playing doubles against Ed and Martin in the 90’s and 2000’s where they thought a younger me a few life lessons. Ed will be sadly missed by all who knew him. My deepest sympathy to all of the Gaffney family on the loss of Ed. This sad news brings back memories of all the football we use to play together on the Pitch at the top of Anne Devlin during our primary school days. Ed was the best footballer in the group. Amazing how we could entertain ourselves in those days for hours on end with a couple of jumpers as goalposts and a football. And I can remember learning to play Chess in Ed's garage too! So sad to be taken from this world at such a young age. Rest in Peace Ed.
