Over Christmas I walked down Copeland Avenue and as usual,especially at Christmas ,I look for Kelly’s house where many evenings were spent having lots of fun. Eddie is and will always be smiling and enjoying life and making it better for everyone around him, ,my lasting memory will be of a big smile and a colourful jumper. Eddie was a great character and a great friend to my Dad Noel Delany. We had many great holidays with Eddie, Eileen and family in Donegal. Thinking of you all at this difficult time xx

Eddie was much loved by all the Delanys from Drumcondra (Brian, Nuala and their sons John, Brian, Alan and Kevin). Eddie and Eileen were stalwarts of the Donegal holidays. He had a great voice and charisma in spades. Everyone loved him. He had a magnetism and a kindness that would win you over immediately what ever your age or background. A great wit too. Heaven will be all the more craic with Eddie.
