Sincere condolances shared with Erika, Family and Friends of Edmund on his sad passing, When Schull Community College ran their sailing-watersports trip for students to "Tops Adventure" on the southeastern coast of France, Edmund was with us sharing his passion for the sea and sailing, on the 1990 trip Edmund and I sailed away from French coastal village of Adge both of us in the one remaining free topper, we had a great day and Edmunds sailing really shone, we had some great fun and banter with our junior sailers, I have always enjoyed Edmund's character, wit and persona when we met up.

I share the opening verse of Alfred Lord Tennyson's "CROSSING THE BAR"

SUNSET and evening star,
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar,
When I put out to sea,

Fair sailing Edmund from the Beachmaster F.I.S.R.

The lights have dimmed & the curtain has closed on one of the leading lights of Schull Drama Group. For so many years (a lot) Edmund kept the light shining on so many productions of SDG. When it came to picking a play he seemed to have the knack of getting us to go along with his particular suggestion!!! We followed blindly anyway & it always worked out well. Great memories of both Edmund & Brian Murphy when SDG went offshore to Sherkin & Cape with various productions. Great night's & great Craic. A great director & actor ( a stand out moment for me was Edmund in The Crucible). Goodbye my friend as you leave the stage for the last time. Sincere condolences to Erika, Lisa & Eileen.
— Donal McSweeney & Catherine Arundel
