It was with great sadness that I learned of the passing of Eddie. As a very committed member of the Southern Regional Fisheries Board (SRFB), Eddie was immensely helpful and supportive to me and my colleagues in our work protecting the fisheries resource and environmental quality. He was particularly interested in conservation of the Atlantic Salmon and engaged cooperatively with interest groups to ensure the well being and development of the fisheries resource. Whilst being a very strong advocate for his beloved River Nore, and seeking to have wate quality and environmental issues addressed and resolved, he was unfailingly courteous, kind and understanding.

I wish to extend my sincere condolences to Eddie's wife Bernadette, his daughters Siobhan, Sinead and their families, his brother, sister, all of his extended family and his many friends.

May Eddie Rest in Eternal Peace and May His Memory Be a Blessing

Auntie Ber, Sinead, Siobhan……I’m so sorry for your loss. I have such fond memories of Uncle Ed, chasing me up and down the hallway, teaching me to play cards, listening to him sing with that lovely deep voice, and letting me put on his Garda Hat to boss him around. He was so much fun.
He adored you Auntie Ber (especially those roast potatoes which were on the table every Sunday without fail), I remember him smiling at you when you weren’t looking and loved how he would sit and watch tv with you very content.
I’m sorry your person is now gone but I’m sure he will mind you from above.
I remember the jokes he used to have with you Sinead….ye had the same sense of humour (a brilliant one) and I remember him walking you down the aisle Siobhan bursting with pride all day long.

The world lost a good one.

We would like to offer our sincere condolences to the Stack family on the death of their beloved Husband and Dad. We used to meet Ned regularly on our walks on the Bleach Road. Ned always stopped for a friendly chat and loved to pet our dog Fig who he was fond of. We will miss bumping in to him on the road.
