Deepest condolences to Ursula and Eddie’s family on his passing. I remember him well from growing up on Kincora Road. Very amiable fellow.

We send all our sincere condolences to Helene and Elaine, Derek and Louise. Our Dad enjoyed so much meeting Eddie on his walks in Johnstown Park. They would stand for hours having the chat and the craic and Dad would always come home with stories and yarns to share with Freda. And sometimes a very good tip on the horses too! Eddie was a lovely man, may he rest in peace.

I have fond memories of a trip to York back in the early 2000’s for the Ebor meeting and totally enjoyed the pleasure of Eddie’s company . He was an institution on Irish race courses where he was always to b found in the middle of the ring ten minutes before the first race carrying out his work. With guile and expertise . He was a shrewd judge of the form book and certainly knew time of day . One of his great loves in life was going on holidays to Kelly’s of Rosslare with his family . I had the pleasure of numerous good nights in Eddie’s company and will b sorely missed by his large circle of friends in racing . May he rest in peace .
