My deepest sympathy to zoe ,aoife and all eddies grandchildren and great grandchildren. To all his brothers and sisters. A truly lovely family. I cared for Eddie for 22 years we were more family than friends. Edd ie and my self went on many a shopping trip and lunch while we were out.and always had a good laugh. He will be deeply missed by me and my family. Rest in peace Eddie a great friend to everyone and not a bad word to say about anyone. Xx

My dearest brother Eddie my god u have left me so sad the only peace I have knowing u are safe with the gang rest in peace give love to all up there will never never for get u big brother. Love ❤️
So sad to lose Eddie. Every time i visited his home i was met with a handshake and we parted on a handshake. We are both logistics men. He was in awe as to what I was doing, but I was more in awe about what he had done. Different eras, his so much more difficult than mine.
Our most important conversation was on Christmas Day 2018 when I called him from the foyer of a New York Hotel.
Eddie. I’m seeking your blessing please. I’d like Zoe to be my wife.
Robert, he said. It would make me very happy for you to do that. Just be good to her forever.
Zoe and I were married on July 25th 2020 and we will now bury Eddie on our wedding anniversary. Lots of emotions on the day for sure.

It is with great sadness that I heard of Eddie's death. I extend my sincere condolences to the Fox family in Dublin and Ballyjamesduff. I had the great pleasure of having known Eddie for a long time. It was always a great joy to meet Eddie. He was such a grounded man who possessed an internal joy. He told me some great stories from his working life. Eddie was one of life's great gentlemen. He was a joy to meet after Mass on Sunday in his wheelchair. I never once heard him complain. I learned much about life from Eddie. May his gentle soul rest in the peace of the good Lord now. Thanks Eddie for everything.
