Dear Zdena, Laura and Niall,

We are thinking of you and sending you our love. I am so sad thinking of Eddie no longer being in this world. He was gentle, full of good cheer and of understanding. His laugh and his singing (Green Island, Only in my dreams, Parting Glass) will hopefully stay in my ears always. We wish you strength, and in time, we wish you that all the memories of him will comfort you. X

So sorry to hear Eddie has passed away. It was always a pleasure to meet Eddie at my place of work ,Variety Sounds music shop in Killarney. We were so very sorry to hear of Eddie's sudden death. He was a gifted artist and contributed greatly to the musical and cultural heritage of Iveragh since we got to know him through his involvement in local organisations and in music sessions.

Our deepest sympathy and condolences to Zdena, Laura, Neil, family, relatives and many, many friends. I met Eddie back in the mid 1990’s in The Old Barracks Heritage Centre. We travelled South West Kerry taking photos of the many historical and archaeological sites. Those trips were always full of discovery, laughter and fun. He contributed hugely to the development of the original exhibition in the centre. Our paths crossed again in the establishment of the South West Kerry Family Resource Centre. My visits to Dereen were always full of wonderment at the many gifts Eddie possessed. Often I thought of calling but you think there is plenty of time. He was an amazing person, one I am glad to have met on this journey we call life. Eddie rest in peace, may you be surrounded in your eternal home by bird song.

my heart is heavy and I’m so deeply sorry for the loss and pain you undoubtedly feel right now.
