I’m so sorry to hear of Eddie’s death. He was a wonderful kind hearted and wise colleague and friend in the Department of Justice and I have so many happy memories of him. He was a great conversationalist and story teller and terrific company. And he was always available to provide counsel or sage advice. He was a deeply compassionate, warm and empathic man. I remember how utterly devastated he was at the death of his beloved Teresa. Reunited at last. May he rest in peace.

I have very fond of Eddie's Christmas visits to see my mother Mena. I can picture him sitting with his glass of whiskey telling us his stories and the laughter and the craic. Very sad to hear of his passing.
