My sympathy to Eddie's family, friends and neighbours. He was very much part of my childhood as a mass server in St Michaels during primary school. I will remember him in many positive ways, always very helpful and kind with a big smile and a great sense of humour which left a lasting impression on me. Eddie will be sadly missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing him.

I remember the first time I met him on our honeymoon to Ireland, we had such a wonderful time.

Uncle Eddie made me feel welcome and was such fun to be around.

I have very fond memories of Eddie when he used to visit your house in Hayes, he was such a kind hearted, funny and very gentle man and always a pleasure to be around. Sincere sympathy to Eddie's family and his many friends. He was a great gentleman, obliging, capable, helpful and pleasant. He had to wait patiently in the Church so many Wednesday nights for years while the Members of St. Michael's Church folk Choir were chatting in the Organ Gallery after the Choir practice. Eddie, rest in peace.

So saddened to hear of Eddies passing, the most selfless person Ive ever known, So many fond memories always put a smile on my face and fill me with warmth.
He will be missed by so many to whom he gave so much joy, laughter, love and time.
Staying with Eddie and Paddy each summer was always the highlight of my years as a child and always full of adventure, no one could have asked for better role models.

Thank you to everyone for such wonderful and kind messages for Eddie. We his family in London, Sheffield, Burnham-on-Sea and America were never in any doubt that he was loved by everyone but reading your words has overwhelmed us. Eddie was the most pure, kind and generous person that we were proud to call our Uncle and Grand Uncle. Spending time with Eddie on our many trips around the world was a privilege, he made us laugh every day and was generous with his love and eager for adventure. We will forever be grateful for his presence in our lives and always miss him at our Christmas table.

Both Q and I are heartbroken, time spent with my Uncle Eddie are some of my fondest memories, always fun, always pure and always unpredictable, he was more than an "Uncle" to me, he was my "big bother". You are truly loved and missed Eddie.
