Edward (Eddie) O'CONNOR

What can I say about Eddie that has not already been said. Everybody I have met liked the guy. He made you feel important when he was speaking to you with his warm Cork accent. I am sad at the early passing of really nice gentleman.

I was so shocked and saddened to hear about Edward’s death.
I remember him with that twinkle in his eyes and wit.
He represented his father in 1988 at the funeral of his uncle Jackie in the Boro in 1988.

Eddie was a true gentleman, an intellect, good humoured, and kind. I had the pleasure of meeting Eddie in ESB Powertalk Toastmasters club, a good man to give a speech, and to speak on any topic off the cuff. He inspired me to always better myself. Eddie will be missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.

I was shocked to hear of Eddie’s passing having spoken to him just a few months ago about his international chess travels. I was fortunate to have worked with Eddie on a few projects in Ireland and overseas over the years. He was so knowledgeable, always 100% committed and always good humoured.
