Saddened to only now learn of the untimely passing of such an engaging and caring friend with a terrific sense of humour. Eddie will always be remembered for the early morning trips to the airport, the many Lions Club events shared and the guidance & advice offered when choosing headstone for the family grave at Redford. You will be sadly missed but your many good deeds will never be forgotten. May you enjoy your eternal reward Eddie.

I had many humorous occasions while in his company. he was a very jolly man, always in a good mood, great to tell a joke or a story and above all a character to play a round of golf with, it would be a game of mishaps, rule discussions and great craic.
Eddie will be missed by many.

I know it won't ever be the same again and I'm so so sorry for it. We're all here for you. Eddie would be giving out to think your so upset, not unlike how he would give out when you made a big dinner for him! He's still here, he's still with you.
