Eddie you will be sorely missed by all. We had some laughs, the craic was good. You weren't shy about blaggarding me. Lunchtimes were a laugh, we never knew where the conversations would go. The journeys home in the traffic coming in the Waterford Rd were enlightening. Houdini you were one of a kind. Gone but never forgotten.

My dearest Grandad. I will miss you so, so, so much. I'll miss your stories, I'll miss your jokes, I'll miss the times we had together laughing and chatting, but most of all, I'll miss your great friendship.

I have so many fond memories of you, and I'm so thankful to have had all the time I've had with you.

I'm so sorry I never got the chance to say a final goodbye to you, Grandad, but you always knew I loved you anyway. It wouldn't have been "goodbye", more of a "see you again sometime, Grandad".

You've been my best friend since forever, and you always will be. It's broken my heart that you are now gone, but I now know you're at peace and a better place.
