Eddie will be deeply missed. I really enjoyed working for him and will always remember him with great fondness.
Deepest condolences to Eddie's family. Eddie came to NCAD in the late 70s to set up the library on a tiny budget. His achievements are legend I have such fond memories of Eddie and Patricia as a young couple from that time. May he rest in peace.
It was a privilege to be a friend of Eddie ; he was so kind, witty and generous with his knowledge and love of the arts. May he and his beloved Patricia rest in peace. Eamonn O'Reilly
Edward was a very special person - unique in fact . He was highly intelligent , sensitive with a rare and wonderful approach to life . His beloved Patricia , recently deceased, was essential . His deep interest and success in his development of the NCAD library and his enormous involvement in and knowledge of all aspects of fly fishing in the west of Ireland ensures that all who had the joy of knowing him will miss him greatly. May his dear soul rest in peace and may the good Lord give comfort to his beloved mother , sister and extended family Slan abaile a cara dilis. Ar dheis De go raibh do anam.
Worked in NCAD library and was a student in the college. Eddie was always a great man, kind and with a friendly manner and a wonderful smile.

His contribution to Irish art is eloquently expressed in above messages.
I would also pay tribute to his lighter side, his love of fishing and of horse racing,
of fine wine and warm conversation.
A generous and true friend who will be ever so sorely missed.
